Daily Spritz: Save or Splurge...?

Maybe I haven't previously mentioned my obsession, but I happen to ADORE cocktail rings.
It's like shoes...I'm in constant need of more, more, MORE.
The bigger the better and the glitzy-er...the giddier I get!

So, when I spotted Michael Kors' new Very Hollywood Solid Perfume Cocktail Ring I was complete ga-ga — combining my love of perfume with a GORGEOUS accessory...sigh...be still my heart...
The fragrance notes are just as enticing — it sounds like a bright, femme blend of citrus and florals (right up my alley!) — flirty and glam right down to every last detail.

Unfortunately, this adorable gem will set you back a pretty penny (unlike my uber-inexpensive Forever21 finger wardrobe) at a whopping $40.
PLUS — the description doesn't even reveal what size it is...so, who knows if it'll even fit.

But (since I just can't resist), I'm going to keep this pretty pink jewel bookmarked for a day when I feel like a splurge!

Little Miss Mommy's Love List Day 1: Coffee

So, Little Miss Nose It All had a great idea for all of the Little Misses to celebrate the launch of Bath & Body Works' newest fragrance, P.S. I Love You...post every day about things we love!

So, here's my first love (stay tuned for more Mommy love later this week!).

Coffee
I've always loved coffee, but ever since I became a Mommy, I savor every last drop!

Love List Day 1: Tutus

Who says adults can't wear tutus?
If it's frilly, flirty and ultra-femme...it's MINE!

PLUS (as if the dress weren't enough) the styling of this photo is to die for and makes me want whatever they're selling.
Blowing kisses? I'll buy that.
Photo booth? Yes, please.
Oh, yeah, and you'll throw in the tutu, too? SOLD!

Little Miss Eat, Drink & Get Married's Love List Day 1: Sundae Best

I'm currently obsessed with the new Five Mint Ice Cream from Häagen-Dazs

Using only five — yes, just FIVE! — all-natural ingredients, this scrumptious pint of heaven is big on taste, little on fat.
I'll high-five to that!

And oh, did I mention I can squeeze back into my skinny jeans again?

Little Miss Mommy’s 3 Dress-for-Success Secrets

Need some tips on how to dress for success when you return to work post-baby (and by success I mean hiding that remaining belly bulge successfully!)?

My #1 friend right now is a great dress with a nice structured cut (preferably empire waisted to highlight “the girls" and minimize the gut) with some pretty detailing (to camouflage the tummy).

Here are 3 pretty and professional post-pregnancy options (that won't break your budget either)!

1. INC International Concepts Printed Matte Jersey Dress
The beautiful detailing elongates your torso and hides any lumps and bumps you have going on underneath.
{$79}

2. Japanese Weekend Before & After Slit Front Maternity & Nursing Dress
The fabulously bold print and forgiving cut disguise your tummy and highlight your ample bosom (assuming your breastfeeding).
{$88}

3. Banana Republic Lightweight Wool Sheath Dress
Empire waist with a strong shoulder to draw the attention up to your face and not down at your post-pregnancy bump! And for me, it's pulling double duty — I'm wearing it to a wedding with pretty flowery jewelry to soften it up and to work with a belt at the waist to create a more casual look.
{$140}

YouTube Tuesday: Midnight Pomegranate Review

Even boys love B&BW
So, maybe he doesn't admit to spritzing Signature Collection's Midnight Pomegranate, but as a store associate, he's definitely got some cred to tell you exactly why you'll love this sexy sizzler!

Friday 5: The Birdcage

Petite Fete's 3-pack of letterpress birdcage gift tags makes me want to give, give, give just to wrap something and tie one on!
{$5.95}

2. Chandelier
I love luxe...my debit card just doesn't quite feel the same way. But, I can dream a little dream of sweet songbird whimsy, can't I?
{$798}

Tweeting is sooooo yesterday! You just can't cage this bird's need to put pen to paper...and what a beautiful place to capture all my chirping.
{$18}

A little birdie told me that inside these precious and delicate gold cages is a little birdie charm!
(Maybe they'll whistle Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da when you wear them!)
{$7.50}

5. Tee
Here's a little lesson about the birds and the tees...it's super soft and super sweet — straight from MaryInk's Etsy shop!

What's Your Poison: The Cocktails of Mad Men

Click here to read a great NYTimes.com piece about the history behind the booze featured ever-so prominently on the show.

Countdown to Mad Men: Just 4 More Days!

Disclaimer: This definitely deserves a lot of exclamation points in one post...you've been warned!

So, the countdown continues...less than a week now until the oh-so-anticipated season 3 of Mad Men kicks off, and I've got some goodies to share today! Vanity Fair has the most breathtaking Annie Leibovitz shoot with Don and Betty!

I must admit, every time I see the pair parading as the Drapers, two thoughts always cross my mind:
1. by GOLLY he's gorgeous!
2. how can I get her wardrobe...NOW!

For your viewing pleasure, I now give you Don and Betty's Paradise Lost with 6 god-I-want-to-be-them photographs.

(PS - if you're a reader, you'll notice there's a fantastic story about the show, too! I just get soooo enamored with Don that I gloss over and want to just look at that handsome piece of man for hours!)

I Tried It: Scentbug Day 6

Battery still going? CHECK!
No oily mess on my desk? CHECK!
Totally delicious, warm, spicy cookie scent? DOUBLE CHECK!

So, the scent fun rages on with my sweet little Scentbug.

Did I mention that I'm totally in love? It's perfectly subtle enough that it fills JUST my cubicle with scent without obnoxiously overwhelming any of my neighbors (which they definitely appreciate).

It's like I've created this fabulously cozy fragrance environment that's MINE ALL MINE!
Oooh, and this would be great for carrying desk-to-desk for working lunches when someone's eating something icky-smelling!

Next up, I'm going to try to mix my own fragrance with multiple Home Fragrance Oils!
Watch out, wish me luck and stay tuned...

Friday 5: State Fair

It's the last weekend of the Ohio State Fair and it's got me in the mood for funnel cakes and cotton candy!

1. Blue Ribbon Headband
Too bad they don't award blue ribbons for being the most adorable gal at the fair!

Just one bean is a sweet pink little reminder of being a kid again (minus the sticky fingers!).

One funnel cake a year is never enough. When you've just gotta have a bite of twisting, turning, deep-fried goodness...this is exactly what you need!

So, maybe heights and motion sickness are your "fond" memories of the fair...why ride the ride when you can look the part instead?

Sparkly. Light pink. Toooo tasty. This is the perfect color for summer!

Little Miss Mommy Goes Back to Work

Little Miss Mommy here, blogging about my first day back at the office!

I have to admit, as much as I absolutely adore my little girl, and as hard as I thought it would be to leave her, I was actually really delighted to be amongst the land of adult interaction talking about and working on, well...work! Not to say child rearing isn't work...but plunging back in head first into the world of your prior self is refreshing after 12 weeks at home with a baby where you are back to square one in the whole learning process!

After a quick shower and a lightning-quick blow dry and flat iron session I fed my baby, grabbed the pre-made diaper bag and whisked out the door to the sitter’s house. Post drop off I sped off to the nearest Starbucks for my necessary cup of joe (a Grande Americano with a splash of soy) and I was off to work. Once I got there and dealt with all the hassles of actually getting back into the work computer systems, cleaning out 12 weeks of email build up and then being bombarded with status reports, I looked at the clock and it was already 5:30 PM! Where did the day go?! (Where do they ever go?!) BUT what I thought was going to be a really stressful day ended up being a delightful one thanks for my amazing co-workers. It was like riding a bike, you just don't forget how to do it...and luckily I love it because I felt a new energy as I was packing up to leave for the day.

But, after the information overload was complete for the day I found myself in a slow jog to my car (in my heels which haven't seen the light of day for 3 months) wanting to get home to my little Winnie Bear. And, now that she's all fed and burped and changed and put to bed, I'm sipping a glass of Red and winding down...but I'm totally psyched to do it all again tomorrow because I know there is sooooo much going on at Bath & Body Works that I'm just dying to tell you all about...

Stay tuned!

I Tried It: Scentbug Day 1

I'm soooo ready for fall.
All the new clothing is hitting the racks and the weather around here has been gloooo-my!
I just want to wrap up in a big sweater, pull on some wooly socks and cuddle up.
But, because I'd just sweat to death (it is in the upper 80s every day afterall...), I got a Scentbug instead!

Scentbug is this clever little diffuser that fans amazing scents into any space — creating a perfectly scented environment wherever you take it. Plus, there's no plug, there's no flame, it's completely battery operated, so you can set and forget it so to speak...just press a little button and it runs for hours on end without worry!

(It smells like a warm cookie so I was instantly won over!)
All you have to do is put 2o drops of the oil on this little pad that then gets inserted into The Bug (there are 2 spares that come with Scentbug and you can buy refills, so you can switch up your scent easily). Then turn it on and go.

Let's just see if this little bug chases away my summer blues and gets me cozied up for fall just a touch early. :)

Stay tuned...

Countdown to Mad Men: Steal Joan's Style

Courtesy of Banana Republic — the city chic shop has teamed up with my fave show to create sleek, throwback looks that are more than modern and super sexy!
(Plus, if you check out the window marketing at the stores, the copy is sharp and witty as if Peggy Olson herself had written it!)

Countdown to Mad Men: 12 Days to Go!

I've been DYING for season 3 to hit the small screen for months.
(Oh, Don Draper, how I've missed thee.)
So, in honor of the premiere on the 16th, I'm honoring Mad Men's headline-making bombshells and bad boys.

Today, everyone's favorite naughty secretary, Miss Joan Holloway, courtesy of Esquire.

Welcome to the Party, Little Mrs. Young at Heart

If you haven't noticed yet, we've added a new Little Miss to the gang.
She's Little Mrs. Young at Heart — our free-spirited, NEW resident skin care expert.
Lucky you — the master of looking and feeling forever young (at any age) is now just a click away!

Skip the Spa & SAVE: Mini Manicure in 1 Minute!

I just gave myself a manicure...in the ladies room at my office!
Shocking, I know, but I SWEAR by 2 products for my hands — and it's so quick and easy, you HAVE to try it to believe it. Plus, you can totally skip hitting up that expensive the spa and save BIG!

STEP 1:
Ragged cuticles and mani-deprived hands rejoice! This scrub wakes up your rough, dry hands (and the orange-y, citrus scent is the perfect pick-me-up to start the day). Plus, it's super-exfoliating power is gentle enough to use every day.

STEP 2:
Use this just once and you'll never use another hand lotion again. It's just like getting a paraffin dip at the salon — locking in essential moisture for your softest, most touchable hands EVER!

BONUS!!! SUPER SECRET, SUPER AMAZING STEP 3:
Ok, so I don't necessarily have a ton of time to do this at my desk (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!), but if you've got just a few short minutes — 2–3 TOPS! — then I highly suggest you sneak this in too. This 4-sided miracle worker buffs and shines nails so they look like you just got a clear coat polish change at the salon. NO JOKE! It's an essential in any spa-lovers toolkit.
