I Tried It: Scentbug Day 1

I'm soooo ready for fall.

All the new clothing is hitting the racks and the weather around here has been gloooo-my!

I just want to wrap up in a big sweater, pull on some wooly socks and cuddle up. 

But, because I'd just sweat to death (it is in the upper 80s every day afterall...), I got a Scentbug instead!

Scentbug is this clever little diffuser that fans amazing scents into any space — creating a perfectly scented environment wherever you take it. Plus, there's no plug, there's no flame, it's completely battery operated, so you can set and forget it so to speak...just press a little button and it runs for hours on end without worry!

I'm starting my trial with The Perfect Autumn Ginger Vanilla Home Fragrance Oil.

(It smells like a warm cookie so I was instantly won over!)

All you have to do is put 2o drops of the oil on this little pad that then gets inserted into The Bug (there are 2 spares that come with Scentbug and you can buy refills, so you can switch up your scent easily). Then turn it on and go.

Let's just see if this little bug chases away my summer blues and gets me cozied up for fall just a touch early. :)

No, I'm not talking about some new strain of flu...

I'm talking about the Scentbug!

This definitely isn't the first time I'm taking to the blog to talk Scentbug. When it first debuted I couldn't WAIT to get my little mitts on one. I tried it with the Ginger Vanilla Home Fragrance Oil and it was DIVINE (give me the scent of baked goods every day or give me death!). Ever since they've been flying off the shelves like hot cakes! Every store has been selling out and they can barely keep these lovable bugs in stock!

But, it gets better...Bath & Body Works has come up with an even CUTER way to entice me — Scentbug now comes in an array of fun NEW colors! If you thought I couldn't wait to get it the first time, now that it's in pink it's got ME written all over it! Today it will be mine, you can count on it.

Mix Master Scentbug Day 4: Sugared Berry

Fall's in full swing and even though we haven't hit Halloween quite yet, Thanksgiving is already on everyone's mind. And before you ever get to the pumpkin pie, you're bound to indulge in some cranberry sauce.

Today's Scentbug Home Fragrance Oil recipe is a little reminiscent of the tart sweetness of this turkey day essential. 

Sugared Berry

Mix 15 drops of Warm Vanilla Sugar with 5 drops of Midnight Pomegranate.

While it's not cranberry, the pomegranate and blackberry notes blend divinely with the warm, sugary scent.

No oily mess on my desk? CHECK!

Totally delicious, warm, spicy cookie scent? DOUBLE CHECK!

So, the scent fun rages on with my sweet little Scentbug.

Did I mention that I'm totally in love? It's perfectly subtle enough that it fills JUST my cubicle with scent without obnoxiously overwhelming any of my neighbors (which they definitely appreciate).

It's like I've created this fabulously cozy fragrance environment that's MINE ALL MINE!

Oooh, and this would be great for carrying desk-to-desk for working lunches when someone's eating something icky-smelling!

Next up, I'm going to try to mix my own fragrance with multiple Home Fragrance Oils!
